A talk by Stephen Silver

Advaita is a Sanskrit word which literally means ‘not two’. This philosophical system is the strongest single influence behind the Practical Philosophy courses offered by the School.

The previous talk by Mark Ryland addressed the historical context of Advaita, described the major elements and discussed its implications for everyday living.

In this talk Stephen Silver will continue the discussion of how to make Advaita practical in our daily lives and how with practice it provides increasing confidence in, as well as challenge to, our belief system.

The talk will assume no prior knowledge of the subject but at the same time seek to offer some new insights and useful reminders for those who are more familiar.
