A ten week evening course in Practical Philosophy



All Public Talks take place at:

Boyn Grove Community Resource Centre, 11 Courthouse Road, Maidenhead SL6 6JE

Doors open at 9:45 for a 10:00 start. There is a short break for tea & coffee (and cake!) and the aim is to finish at 12:00.

There is no fixed charge but donations are welcome to cover the cost of hire and refreshments 
(suggested donation £5 per person)

Considering the Family at the Heart of Economics

What is a family? Are families thriving today? How effective are family businesses in an economy dominated by corporations? What economic arrangements would help families to thrive and achieve greater prosperity and freedom?

The School of Economic Science has been studying these and related questions for over 80 years. Peter Holland a senior member of the School’s Economics Faculty will review these topics and consider some alternative approaches
